Course Description
This seminar explores different perspectives on current global economic issues. A review of the recent debate on globalization provides a framework for discussion of a variety of issues related to international trade and the international financial system. Topics covered may include: international trade and the environment, international trade and labor standards, regionalism vs. world trade, international financial crises, reforming the global financial architecture, and international capital flows and developing countries.
