Course Description
An examination of the traditional aesthetic theories of philosophers such as Plato, Aristotle, Burke, Hume, Schopenhauer, and Nietzsche, as well as more recent theories. Among the issues considered will be how art is different from everyday objects and the impact of technology on art.
