Poetry, Performance & Protest

This course explores the legacy of 20th century German literature and cultural history through its poetic tradition of performance and protest, while analyzing the political, social, and cultural climate and the shifts in understandings of gender, race, class and generational relations during this critical century in contemporary German history.
