Course Description
A survey of topics in biochemistry including the structure, conformation, and properties of the major classes of biomolecules (proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, and carbohydrates); enzyme mechanisms, kinetics, and regulation; metabolic transformations; and bioenergetics and metabolic control. Emphasis will be on the fundamentals of biochemistry and our current understanding in the field.
