A mechanistic approach to the chemistry of carbon compounds organized around the reactions of functional groups. We cover alkanes, cycloalkanes, alcohols, alkyl halides (nucleophilic substitution and elimination), alkenes (addition and elimination), alkynes, spectroscopy (IR and NMR) and computer molecular modeling.
