Course Description
This course is designed for students who want to gain research experience in physics under the direction of a member of the physics and astronomy faculty. The student should propose a plan for the three terms required to obtain course credit, in consultation with the faculty member. Expectations include a minimum of four hours per week of work, in addition to other requirements to be determined by individual research advisors. To receive a passing grade, the student is expected to work the equivalent of four hours per week and submit a summary report at the end of each term.
