French & Francophone Culture

Readings bout French and Francophone Cultures: This course examines France, its history, and socio-cultural dynamics through a variety of lenses including fiction, essays, films, newspapers, and daily life experience. You will be asked to use all four language skills in French (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) both in and out of class as tools towards development of a fifth skill, that of cultural awareness and critical thinking.
