Course Description
A survey of the art and architecture of ancient Greece and the Hellenistic world which examines origins, development, influences and the contextual meaning of material culture, We will examine its importance to the individual, the state, and other cultures contemporary with Greece and the Hellenistic Kingdoms. We will be considering a variety of art forms including architecture, sculpture, painting, and metalwork.
