Course Description
Habitat degradation, global change and biodiversity loss threaten natural ecosystems. This course examines our scientific understanding of ecology, genetics and evolution to investigate how these areas of study are applied to develop management strategies to mitigate environmental threats. We will draw upon historical and modern examples from the Albany Pine Bush, Adirondacks, National Parks and endangered species.
