Women on Top: French Narrative

FRN-308-01
French language women writers and the women they write about in their novels and short stories. Authors may include Claire de Duras, George Sand, Colette, Anne Hebert, Marguerite Yourcenar, Simone de Beauvoir, Marguerite Duras, Andree Chedid and Mariama Ba. Focus on cultural, historical and political positioning of both writers and their subjects.
