Post-Digital Printmaking

Printmaking is sought by creatives as a fertile ground for interdisciplinary exploration. New machines are absorbed into the practice to facilitate our expanding definition of art and information exchange. This course joins the tradition of printmaking with the ever-expanding world of digital fabrication. Students will survey a variety of machines such as CNC, laser cutter, and 3D printers, to facilitate a machine-based approach to printmaking. The creation of original work will investigate the implications of art making, the image, and our existence, in a post-digital world.
