History of Fashion & Dress

ATH-123-01

A study of the evolution of Western fashions from ancient to modern times with a focus on clothing as a reflection of self-expression and relationship to one's society. The class will explore the history of dress through visual examples, practical examination of historical costume items, and individual research into specific fashion topics.
